Joey is a regular 10 year old Milford, CT boy… going to school, doing homework, being reminded to do his chores and playing sports. His first love is hockey and the Rangers, but he also likes to play lacrosse, video games, go to the beach, and he enjoys drawing. He likes to hang out with his friends and laugh. He had the extraordinary happen to him in February of 2015 when he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. That’s when Joey became not just your ‘average kid’. With the support of his family, friends and the entire community, Joey prepared to fight cancer head on. He showed such courage and determination during his treatments; he’s shown so many people around him how to keep your head up and never lose site of your goal.

After six grueling rounds of aggressive chemotherapy with much of the time spent in-patient at Yale, we are so blessed that on July 9 we received the amazing news that he is now CANCER FREE!

Angels of Warriors wanted to do something to celebrate Joey’s successful battle and win against his Cancer. Through donations, we were able to give Joey and his Family an all inclusive outing to his favorite MLB team to kick off our Road 2 Victory Tour . On August 29th, 2015, The Mets opened their arms to us and Joey and the family had an unforgettable day.

September is Child Cancer awareness month and Non-hodgkin’s awareness month. Please join us in celebration for Joey and donate to his cause or send him and his family a prayer.
