Donni Mills was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She has been married for 34 years and has raised three beautiful children. Donni has worked in the insurance industry for most of her life and began her own Insurance agency, D&S Insurance and Financial Services, in June 2008.
Donni Mills real passion is working with her daughter and daughter‐in‐law as President and Founder of her non‐profit organization Angels of Warriors. This organization was founded after watching several of her friends and family members fighting cancer and dealing with the financial, physical, and emotional stress this fight causes families. Donni realized that these individuals and families really needed immediate relief from the stresses of day to day responsibilities. She also realized the negative affect the disease causes on the value of enjoying family time and life. The opportunity to help, gives her a great deal of comfort giving support to individuals and Families fighting life threatening diseases.
Rachel is a native San Diegan and currently works at The Hotel del Coronado in the Human Resources Department as a Training Coordinator. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and is a former San Diego State Cheerleader.
Her involvement and interests in being a part of this nonprofit is clear. Cancer and many other diseases are hitting our loved ones, young and old, more and more as the years go on. She has been directly impacted by numerous families as they go through the struggles of fighting their disease. Her wish has always been to have a consistent support group to offer them assistance.
“My dream is to help give assistance and support to those who are suffering from life threatening diseases by utilizing my personal and professional skills.” says Rachel.
Renee, originally from a coastal town in Connecticut, came to San Diego seeking inspiration and those So. Cal “good vibrations”.
After 7 years and doing double duty as the designer and manager of four different start ups; she founded Renee Allen Creative in 2012 with aspirations of applying her knowledge and creative mindset to others businesses. As a strategic, multi-disciplinary designer, Renee utilizes technology and innovative design to nurture, capture, engage and educate. She focuses her strengths on small businesses and entrepreneurs, and offers them high impact branding with a purpose.
One day, her mother-in-law, Donni, approached her about the vision of Angels Of Warriors – Renee jumped at the opportunity to help cultivate the dream. “Angels of Warriors has allowed me to mesh my business goals, skills and desire to help others together in one place. It is a larger than life cause. Something that we all have been impacted by and I am proud to be apart of it. My goal is to build a community of supporters with a culture and strength in numbers. Together we will make the difference in many families lives.” says Renee.
Brad grew up in San Diego and has been involved in the community for a long time whether it was playing sports, coaching teams, volunteering, or building relationships. As the Director of Marketing, Brad’s goals are to spread the word and message of AoW to the world by sharing his passion and past experiences. A positive and fun person to be around, Brad strives to attract the right kind of sponsors, donors and volunteers to be a part of something we can all relate to, which is helping and supporting others who have been blind sided by an illness.
